About this event

This year has been a challenging one for kids and caregivers, and the transition back to school promises to be no exception, and full of big feelings all around. Please join journalist Adrienne Bankert, Eunice and Sabrina Moyle of Hello!Lucky, TikTok parenting educator and mom Destini Ann, and journalist and mom Judy Tsuei, and mom and mental health advocate Kelsi Hamilton with our all-ages community to write letters, share stories, and draw pictures that spread kindness – to kids, caregivers, and the child within each of us! We’ll be joined by guest moms, dads, artists, and positive parenting coaches, as we get inspired to align our thoughts, hearts and minds with fun, kindness, optimism and connection!

This Letter Writing Social is for anyone who is loves snail mail, beautiful stationery, writing letters or stamps! Join us to write letters, cards, or postcards at the Bridgeville Public Library.

We will provide some basic supplies for letter writing and envelope decorating. Stationary and stamps are limited, but we'll try to have enough for everyone. Writing personal notes is a classic way to let donors and customers know they're important -- and in honor of National Letter Writing Month, Urban Office is hosting a workshop to share tips for effective ways to use personal letters and other outreach tools to increase engagement with your network.

The event will include time for brainstorming and idea sharing, and you will leave with a draft of a finished product to use right away. Snacks, drinks, and letter-writing supplies provided!

An evening for anyone who appreciates snail mail, postage stamps, and puppies! Have a cup of tea and write a thank you note to your best friend, send a Mother's Day card, wrap up National Letter Writing Month on a good note. Join the Coastside Letter Writers Society in celebrating National Card and Letter Writing Month as they host e meet-up focused on participating in the Write_On Challenge of writing 30 Letters in 30 Days (the month of April). Even if you only write one letter with us, stop by the HMB Library's Makerspace to get your Write_On, play with sealing wax, or try out our Tippa Script Typewriter. Join the Letter Writing Social the Newport News Public Library on Tuesday, April 9 from 5-7 pm. We will talk about how to format a letter, how to decorate an envelope, and where to find people to write to. There will be some refreshments, as well as donated cards available at the event!

Soul Paper and Letterpress - Workshop

We proud to be hosting our Fourth Annual Saskatoon Kick-off & Stationery Swap to celebrate National Letter Writing Month and the Write_On Challenge. Join us as we prepare for a month long abandonment of technology and embrace good old fashioned happy mail.

This is a free event of putting pen to paper, or using vintage typewriters to write letters, or simply start your mailing list for the month. It is also our chance to gather the tribe, swap supplies* and re-connect. Everyone** is encouraged to bring their envelopes, letter paper, note cards, washi tape, stickers, ribbons, stamps, ephemera or any other stationary supplies for this year’s Stationary Swap!

Be part of the Snail Mail Revolution! Keep the written word alive and continue using the hashtags #lovesoulpaper and #Write_On and share your photos with us on Instagram and Facebook.

*Supplies are NOT provided but are available for purchase.

The Dinner Party is teaming up with Reimagine, My Last[ing] Letters, The Forever Letter™, and Write_On for an evening of letter writing and reading to and from the people that matter most to us, living and late. Attendees may choose to write or read words to a loved one, a letter received that really meant something, or words of someone who has inspired them.

National Letter-writing month is in full swing now, so join us and send someone a note of gratitude via snail mail! We have partnered with Rare Device and Thank You Thursday for a pop-up letter writing social at Rare Device in Noe Valley. With the loss of hand-written correspondence in our tech-driven culture, we want to encourage connection and creativity through meaningful handwritten notes. It’s the perfect opportunity to take the time to thank your friends, family, and community members for their support. We’ll supply the thank you cards, pens, postage, and drinkage. Join Downtown Writing and Press on April 17 at 6:30 pm at Kickshaws Market in Fredericksburg, Virginia for an evening of letter-writing.  Folks are encouraged to come write to friends, senior citizens, and @girlslovemail. Cards, postage stamps, and pens provided. The forty-first public gathering of Wonder Fair Letter Writing Club takes place Sunday, April 15th in the Wonder Fair gallery space. Wonder Fair Writing Club is excited to host this special expanded event in honor of National Letter Writing Month, in partnership with stationers Hello!Lucky and Egg Press's fifth annual Write_On campaign.

Betsy by Design will be kicking off National Card & Letter-writing month by having an open studio of creativity.  See demos on how to rubber stamp, heat emboss, and line your own envelopes! We'll have tons of creative supplies out for everyone to use to embellish the cards from the Write_On pack as well as blank cards we'll have on hand. 

Each participant will receive a Write_On Individual Kit, 4 blank cards & envelopes and a book of stamps.  Attendees can use our manual typewriters, scrap paper, washi tape, rubber stamps, and scrap paper to decorate and embellish their cards!  Each participant will also receive an enamel Write_On! pin to remind them to keep their creative juices flowing throughout the month of April and beyond!
